Them Crooked Vultures: an introduction
Them Crooked Vultures is still a relatively new band, though the band members have been around for decades.
The group was formed in 2009 by John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl and Josh Homme. Alain Johannes is also featured in the band’s live performances.
John Paul Jones is best known as the bassist and violinist for Led Zeppelin; David Grohl is best known as the drummer for Nirvana and as the singer/lead guitar for The Foofighters; and Josh Homme is the founding and only continuous member of Queens of the Stone Age.
In October 2009, Them Crooked Vulture tickets went on sale for their “Deserve the World” tour, and they also released the first single, “New Fang,” off their self-titled album. They still have tour dates scheduled in March, April, June and July in the U.S. and Europe.
